The Production Log is an exact index of your “Draft Production” files—with your Notes, Legal Research and flags included. The Production Log is fully compliant with court rules and contains all the searchable metadata needed for the parties and the court to find whatever document they are looking for, and/or to load the production into an eDiscovery system.
The Key Document Index is potentially even more useful. This index precisely indexes your “Key Documents” folder in the Internal Use Only folder, which contains the hot documents you will use over and over throughout the lawsuit. The Key Documents Index can serve as a complete roadmap of the core of your case, quickly pointing you to the chronology of your evidence, the exhibits supporting your legal theories, and the particular use of your evidence.
